As part of the Green Education programme, IGBC is offering courses on green concepts for architectural and engineering college students

Objective

  • Enable Educational Institutions to develop Industry-ready professionals trained on green concepts.
  • Facilitate Industry – Academia linkage.

IGBC’s Certification Course on Green Built Environment

In Curriculum/ Elective at Institutions

A 45-hour certification course on green buildings and built environment has been developed by IGBC to promote green concepts to the students and young professionals. Institutions may adopt the course as part of academic curriculum or as an elective for architectural & engineering students.

IGBC would support Institution in handling the course through training faculty, sharing reference material, talks by subject experts, visit to certified green buildings, etc. A textbook covering course content has been developed by IGBC for the reference of students and faculty. 25 hrs Online Course by IGBC

For benefit of students, IGBC is conducting online 25 hours programme on every alternative month in the year. Students may directly enroll for the course and participate to impart knowledge on green buildings.

After completion of the course either from Institution or IGBC, students may appear online examination conducted by IGBC. Students qualifying in the examination will be recognized as ‘IGBC Accredited Professional (AP) – Associate’.

Course on Life Cycle Assessment of Buildings:

To build awareness and train large pool of students & professionals to facilitate the construction industry towards a low carbon future, IGBC has launched the course on Life Cycle Assessment of Buildings.

In order to achieve India’s commitment to become Net Zero by 2070, buildings and their commitment to reduce carbon emissions plays a vital role. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of buildings helps in Inventorisation & Mitigation of Carbon Emissions.
